They were minted old
No Old Person was ever young. Each one arrives at sixty, already carrying a face — a seed fixed at mint that the program reads to decide every trait, from the set of their jaw to the colour of their cardigan.
5,555 elders whose traits are derived on-chain from a seed fixed at mint.
Some arrive at sixty. A few arrive already immortal.

Seven stages, and each one is rarer than the last. Wrinkles find the forehead first, then the corners of the eyes, then the folds around the mouth. Hair turns silver at Centenarian and snow-white at Immortal. Fewer than two in a hundred arrive there.
An Old Person that sits still earns more than one that fidgets. The multiplier your streak has reached applies to the entire streak, and claiming drops you back to the beginning. Everyone knows the right move. Almost nobody makes it.
Thirty-two characters, once, forever. It costs SOL to say something and there is no second attempt. Some spent theirs on advice. Most spent theirs on a joke.

Seat an Old Person and it earns SOL. It is frozen in place, never transferred — it stays in your wallet, and on OpenSea, the whole time. Three multipliers stack: the slot you draw when you seat, how long you go without claiming, and seven seated together.
Unstaking forfeits your slot permanently.
Seating draws the next slot. First come, first served — and it never comes back.
Not live yet. Unstaking gives your slot up — seating again draws a fresh one, further down.
Seven or more Old People seated in one wallet form a Circle, and everything they earn gains +25%.
